Our “green” story started very simply: We wanted products that were healthier for our kitties – from there it kind of snowballed. We thought about how pet products are made – and their impact on all of us…so what if we could build a product in a way that was not only good for our animals, but good for all animals. Source materials locally. Build it here. Use the most environmentally friendly materials available… Materials like 100% wool carpeting, dead harvest pine that has been killed by the Mountain Pine Beetle, stains and finishes that are made from whey protein, and zero VOC plywood made with glue from soybeans.
With that start, all we had to do was design the product, source it as responsibly as we could, actually build the product – oh, and start a manufacturing business from the ground up. No problem…right?
We know we aren’t perfect – but we are continually looking for materials that help us get to our ultimate goal of ZERO petroleum products anywhere in any of the products (or packaging) that we create.
